First of all, I want to thank you. I am honored that you’ve chosen Avenue M Design to help you discover and develop your business identity, branding and more. Together, we will create branding assets that you will be proud to share, designed to take your business from where it is now, to where you want it to be.


 The process of creating your logo, website, social media graphics plus any other assets you need will begin with an in-depth conversation. This meeting, whether in-person or virtual, will take place before you make any financial investment in your project. Because trust is everything, absolutely everything, trust will form the foundation of our working relationship.


So, let’s begin. Below, you will find some useful information for making this experience as simple, rewarding and successful as possible.


Some information to get us started.

Project management

Like communication, organization is a not-very-exciting, but crucial, step to success. For that reason, I will use a project management tool called Dubsado to manage our projects.


What exactly is a project management tool? It’s simply a secure online space that will enable and capture our online interactions – emailing, sharing files and forms, etc. Whereas files can get lost when projects are managed through email, nothing gets lost or forgotten in Dubsado. It’s the simplest way to keep our projects organized and make sure all goes as smoothly as possible!


Don’t worry - you won’t need to download or otherwise manage this tool. All Dubsado-driven interaction will be funneled to your regular email tool. 



 


Tools

In addition to Dubsado, we will use a few other online tools, such as Google Drive for content collection and file storage.

Communication

In addition to email correspondence, I am available to you for phone calls during working hours (10-5, M-F). You can access my scheduling app through this link: bit.ly/3pN3F6W


Once we get started, we can set up a weekly call appointment with you to ensure we are always on the same page regarding progress. And you are welcome to set up other calls with me, as needed.


Feedback guidelines

At different stages throughout the project, you will be asked to provide feedback on design concepts, layout, etc. Often, your feedback will be collected via a form. At other times, we may discuss feedback directly.


Providing feedback may seem difficult at first, but it is essential to our success, and I will guide you through it. 


As a client, your reactions and assessment to the work I present will be instrumental to driving the project forward in the right direction. Clear, simple and straightforward feedback is the key to a successful project.

Content collection

In order to keep to timeframes and deadlines set, I will need all the content for your website before I start the project. 


During our initial strategy, content and design meeting, we will lay out a plan for your site that will help us map out exactly what content is needed. Specific content requirements will be sent to you following this meeting.


Unless otherwise agreed upon, you will need to provide the copy for all pages and any particular images you want to be used on the site. A dedicated, shared Google Drive folder will be set up to collect your uploaded project content. The link to this secure folder will be sent to you after our initial meeting.


Please note that if you do not want to do the writing and editing for your site, I am happy to do that for you. Just let me know, and we will work that into our plan. The same holds true for images. If needed, I can provide custom photography or stock images to give you the best possible online presence.
